In the other hand you get the power of a Desktop in a 17" laptop. The best laptop under 1000$ for gamers, I'm playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 with Graphics settings in "High" @1600x900 and it runs Smooth, the HP beats audio sounds very nice for a laptop, the webcam is great also the fingerprint.
Contras: No bluethooth, limited memory card reader, the display need more contrast, need more quick access buttons.
If u have 1000$ and need a new Laptop, this is the right choice.

It's difficult to buy something (like a computer) from an incomplete description. The overall build of this computer is quite nice and the only thing that gets negative is the missing HP support software and no set up instructions????Contacted them and they agreed to send a set up/boot disc at no charge ( so I upgraded my review to 4 stars.)
That said, if I graded this outright on performance, it gets 5 stars. Very solid build, nice wide screen, and 2 year warranty on hardware and tech support.
